Theory Expertise Laboratory

T-REX laboratory is part of the Department of Computer Science of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. We are located in the city of Belo Horizonte, the capital of the state of Minas Gerais.

The laboratory's role is in theoretical aspects of computing, formalizing concepts and ideas on which all computing is based. Although the developed research has common elements, involving formalisms, demonstrations and/or verifications, the works developed cover different areas such as cryptography, privacy and transparency, security theory, information theory, error correcting codes, graph theory, algorithms, structures of data, formal methods, polyhedral combinatorics, quantum computing, algebraic combinatorics, semi-definite programming and fundamental theoretical aspects of other areas of computing.
